These are PeeWee Mums inspired by a friend of mine!
So, as you may know I have been making homecoming mums the past couple of years for some girls at a local high school here. Recently a friend of mine enlightened me to pee wee mums. Her daughter is a cheerleader for a pee wee football team and they have a homecoming too!! So I thought I would go ahead and start making these too!
So being "pee wee" mums, these mums are the same size top as some of the garters I have made before. I use a #9 size ribbon and #3 size ribbon to make the loops around the mum at the top. They are a much much scaled down version of the large ones, but still have all the fun!
These were done in Texas Longhorn colors and I promise, I've got my husband working on helping me with a couple of video tutorials on how I make my braids and put these things together that I am hoping to have done in the next month or so.
On this pee wee there is a military braid, 4 bells, multiple trinkets, some rhinestones (because has to have the bling!) tons of solid ribbon, a strand of foil honeycomb ribbon in the burnt orange color and also printed ribbons with the Longhorn on it and footballs on another. I love using the silver star garland it hangs so nicely along with the printed satin football ribbon.
I am planning on selling these for $19.99 each as shown with everything in the description included in the price and assembled. We are currently working on my homecoming mum site that will hopefully be up and going in the next month as well. Here is another one I made in the same colors.
The main difference with this one is the braid. The other one had a military braid. For this one I made a champion braid (some people call it a Texas braid) and added some rhinestones down the middle. Instead of this mum having the printed satin ribbon that said Football, I used two orange/silver printed football ribbons. Other than that they have the same amount of stuff, just different trinkets.
Here is the top and once again I had to add some rhinestones to it for a little extra shine (just because they are mini versions of the big ones doesn't mean they can't shine like the big ones!)
I just love making these things!!
